Once you have collected these tools, the next step is to install the upgraded supercharger pulley.
- Check the condition of new pulley: Before installing the new upgraded supercharger pulley it would be better to check for any type of breaks and damages. If you notice any type of crack or damage to the new pulley contact the manufacturer and get it replaced with the new one.
- Switch off the ignition: Switch off the car and let it get cool, this is mainly to let the pulley cool as it is attached to the engine and removing the heated pulley might damage your hands and other tools. Once the engine gets cool, disconnect the negative points of the battery to make sure that the supercharger does not get off.
- Replace the existing pulley: Take out the wrench and pull out the supercharger belt and remove it from the pulley. Now remove pulley from the bolt on which it is installed, this can be done with the help of pulley puller. Here one thing which needs to keep in concern is that do not make use of gear puller for removing the pulley, because sometimes it is seen that lots of people make use of gear puller which later on might result in complications. Anyhow, if you notice any type of popping sound there is no need of getting panic, as its the normal voice that takes place while removing the pulley.
- Installing the new pulley: Once the existing pulley has been taken out, it is time to install the new pulley. But before you that it would be better to clean the new pulley with sand paper, apply some grease over it along with assembly determined for supercharger. Now fix the new pulley on the keys and place the belt over it. Now tighten the bolt and press the pulley downward. Now install the belt and fix the fuse box back on its place. Reconnect the battery and once you are confident that you have fixed all the components properly at their points, switch on the ignition and notice the dramatic changes in your car.
